There are many types of vegan leather, from polyurethane (PU) to polyvinyl-chloride (PVC). However most of them are not only un-recyclable, and they also create a great deal of pollution when they are being made.

This is why we have engineered a sustainable and smart animal-free Ecotec leather to create this bag.

Our Ecotec leather is created using innovative technologies with energy-efficient measures that reduce our ecological footprint while being incredibly durable.

The fine grain provides a great texture to touch while absorbing any accidental scratches that comes in contact.

During wet weather, rainwater simply flows of its smooth surface.

At a generous thickness of 1.4mm, you get the familiar feel of a structured and durable bag, just like what you would expect of a high-quality bag, all while using zero animal-based materials.

Did we mention that our microfibre are anti-odour too?

Recycled Polyester

Recycled polyester forms the majority of the inner lining materials of our bags.

Our recycled polyester is created by melting down existing plastic (bottles) and re-spinning them into new polyester-fibre.

The amount of polyester used for each bag used up to materials from five plastic bottles.

These are 5 bottles saved from going to the dumping grounds. At a high-density weave of 300D, we get an ultra-lightweight fabric that is smooth in appearance and touch.

Don’t be fooled by its plain appearance, as they are extremely strong and durable, forming the first layer of defence for your carry items.

Extra Durable YKK Zips

We know you are going to open and close your bag probably multiple times a day, and one faulty zipper can render an entire bag out of function for weeks.

We want our bags on your backs, not in the workshop getting fixed. And with 4 zips on our Hako One backpack, we make sure you only get the best ones.

The extra lining on our YKK zips are designed to shed water quickly and repel it from seeping through to your inside contents.

And in case you haven’t notice yet, YKK zips self-lubricate themselves, feeling more smooth the more you use them.
